Help Second Chance Detroit provide meals and clothing to those in need.

Second Chance Detroit is dedicated to providing essential support, warmth, and care to individuals in need around the City of Detroit. Through acts of generosity and community partnership, we strive to restore dignity, bring comfort, and offer every person a second chance!
DaVonta Nathan-Miller is a father of three, community leader, and humanitarian dedicated to helping others. In 2020, he founded Second Chance Detroit, a nonprofit organization built on compassion and the belief that everyone deserves another opportunity at life.
DaVonta is a graduate of Specs Howard School of Media Arts and is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Oakland University. Beyond his nonprofit work, he serves as a Little League Baseball umpire, flag football referee, mentor, and actor. Each of these roles allows him to connect with others and lead by example.
Inspired by his grandmother’s devotion to feeding and caring for those in need, DaVonta created Second Chance Detroit to continue that legacy of love and service. The organization provides food, care packages, and essential support to individuals and families facing hardship, offering hope and connection within the community.
Known for his kindness and genuine care for people, DaVonta believes that even small acts of compassion can create lasting change. His mission through Second Chance Detroit is simple yet powerful—showing that one person can make a difference by choosing to love and serve others.
